Job summary

Becton Dickinson (BD) is seeking an experienced R&D Lead in the USA NJ Franklin Lakes area to drive new product development and engineering initiatives. This role involves guiding major programs, developing robust designs, and applying design controls throughout the product life cycle.

You will lead complex analysis, perform DOE and MSA, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality MedTech solutions suitable for high-volume manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelors/Masters/PhD in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering or related field.
• Experience leading R&D product development and lifecycle projects.
• Strong knowledge of design controls and design verification/validation processes.
• Experience with DFSS, DMAIC and risk-based product development.

Responsibilities

• Serve as R&D Lead on New product development and product engineering initiatives.
• Guide the successful completion of major programs and may function in project leadership role.
• Independently determines and develops approach to solutions.
• Represents the organization as the prime technical contact on contracts and projects.
• Supports material/design/process changes to the product line through design control process with well-documented analyses.
• Develops robust test methods and execute measurement system analysis.
• Plans, executes and analyzes design of experiments (DOE).
• Writes, implements and leads bench studies, tolerance stack-up analysis and design verification/validation.
