Job summary

BD is seeking an R&D Senior Engineer to join the Specimen Management team. The role requires deep engineering knowledge, strong technical judgment, and leadership across multi-functional groups to advance product development from concept to verification.

You will design experiments, analyze data, and support design control processes, ensuring quality and compliance while collaborating with vendors and internal partners to deliver robust product features.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's/PhD in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering subject area.
• BS: 5+ years of experience in technical area; MS: 3+ years; PhD: 2+ years.
• Strong knowledge of engineering first principles.
• Strong technical judgment and leadership in R&D.
• R&D planning, requirements, and cross-functional reviews for product development.

Responsibilities

• Lead or contribute to R&D projects within BD Specimen Management.
• Develop and validate designs with DOE, tolerance analyses, and design verification/validation.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to meet product specs.
