Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories is seeking an experienced Cleared Senior/Principal R&D Electrical Engineer for the W80-5 Systems, NM/CA, onsite. You will support electrical system design, requirements, and interfaces across flight tests and lab tests.

Responsibilities include reviewing procedures, troubleshooting anomalies, and collaborating with design agencies to analyze data from advanced experiments. A DOE Q clearance and willingness to travel 25% are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and five (5) years of directly relevant experience or equivalent.
• Active DOE Q-level security clearance or equivalent DOD Top Secret level security clearance.
• Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred and independent research project requirement.

Responsibilities

• Define, review, and represent electrical design activities across the system, including flight tests, laboratory tests, and system- and component-level testing.
• Support investigation and troubleshooting anomalies in multi-functional teams.
• Team with other design agencies to plan, execute, and analyze data from advanced experiments.
• Generate and provide technical review of procedures, process, and reports.
• Analyze system and/or subsystem architectures.
• Develop detailed understanding of requirements and ensure maturation for specific systems aspects.
• Provide technical consultation and analysis on critical design elements.
• Integrate and test system and subassemblies.
• Plan and execute testing for technical basis activities.
• Derive, reconcile, and track requirements.
• Present at technical design reviews and programmatic meetings.
• Represent Sandia on multi-organization project teams.
