Afton Chemical Corporation is seeking an R&D professional to conduct formulation, synthesis, and testing activities in support of SBU projects. You will contribute to data interpretation, provide technical recommendations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across business, process, and marketing areas.

You will maintain lab notebooks, report data accurately, and promote safe practices while participating in Quality System activities and presenting findings at technical conferences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with ~5 years in R&D environments.
• Strong understanding of chemistry/engineering principles in a research setting.
• Experience with formulation, synthesis, and testing and reporting results.

Responsibilities

• Perform formulation, synthesis, and testing to meet project objectives.
• Evaluate data and provide technical recommendations to senior R&D members.
• Present findings in reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Maintain accurate lab notebooks and ensure data reporting accuracy.
• Adhere to safe laboratory practices and Quality System requirements.
• Engage in conferences and industry activities and stay updated on developments.
