Preferred candidates hold advanced degrees in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering and have 5+ years in R&D environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering (or other relevant science field)
• Thorough knowledge of chemistry and/or engineering principles with at least 5 years of relevant R&D experience

Responsibilities

• Performs formulation, synthesis, and/or testing to meet project objectives.
• Evaluation and interpretation of data; provides technical recommendations to senior team members.
• Participates in technical/project reviews and presents findings to cross-functional teams.
• Maintains accurate lab notebooks and reports data objectively.
• Ensures safe laboratory practices and compliance with regulations.
• Maintains documentation for ISO/Quality System activities.
• Represents Afton at technical conferences and industry activities.
