Omya in California seeks a Quarry Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day quarry performance, safety, and production planning. You will drive schedules, allocate labor and capital, and ensure production of high-quality products for the market.

The role requires 7–10 years of quarry experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Mining or Minerals Engineering. Travel within the region and strong regulatory knowledge are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Minerals Engineering or related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in quarry operations.
• Experience managing a quarry and coordinating multiple departments.
• Familiar with Federal and California state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day quarry operations to ensure reliable and sustainable production.
• Develop and implement quarry schedules, allocate labor and capital resources to maximize productivity.
• Ensure cost-effective operation to meet production targets and quality standards.
• Analyze production, maintenance, and malfunction records to identify issues and implement improvements.
• Control material flow, inventory, and capital expenditures within budget with Engineering support.
• Collaborate with supply, logistics, and sales to align product needs with manufacturing.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering, Minerals Engineering or similar discipline
