Infleqtion, Inc. is seeking an accomplished quantum scientist to lead the design, integration, and operation of neutral-atom quantum computing systems in a lab setting.

You will drive R&D on quantum hardware, laser control, and automation, translating goals into concrete experimental plans and performance targets. The role requires a PhD in AMO/quantum physics or equivalent, hands-on experience with complex experiments, and strong Python-based data analysis and control tools.

Qualifications

• PhD in atomic, optical, AMO, quantum physics or equivalent experience.
• Experience designing, building, and operating complex AMO/quantum systems.
• Hands-on experience with lasers and optical systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, integrate, calibrate, operate, and improve neutral-atom quantum computing systems.
• Lead R&D projects on quantum processor hardware and laser systems.
• Translate goals into experimental plans and measurable targets.
• Design experiments and physics-based models to guide decisions.
• Own critical systems from development to routine operation.
• Develop Python tools for experiment control and data analysis.
• Collaborate across physics, software, and engineering teams.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to reviews.
