Infleqtion in Chicago, IL, is seeking a highly experienced quantum systems engineer to lead the design, integration, and optimization of neutral-atom quantum computing platforms. You will translate ambitious goals into concrete experimental plans and drive cross-functional delivery across processor design, laser systems, and control software.

Candidates should have a PhD in AMO/quantum physics or equivalent, strong hands-on experience, proficiency in Python and Linux, and a track record of

Competenze

• PhD in atomic, optical, AMO, quantum physics, or related field; or equivalent post-PhD experience; typically 5+ years leading quantum/precision-measurement systems.
• Hands-on experience designing, operating, or improving AMO or coherent-control experiments; knowledge of atom-light interactions and laser tech.
• Proficiency with Python for experiment control, data analysis, or automation; Linux and version control experience.
• Ability to translate ambiguous goals into executable plans, lead cross-disciplinary system-level work, and communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
