Infleqtion is hiring a Senior Quantum Physicist in Boulder, CO, to advance quantum computing with neutral-atom platforms. You will design, build, and optimize quantum systems, lead laser and measurement development, and model atomic physics to guide engineering decisions.

The role emphasizes autonomous, collaborative work, mentoring, and cross-disciplinary teamwork in a fast-paced start-up environment.

Qualifications

• PhD in AMO or related field; or 4+ years of equivalent professional experience.
• Experience with lasers, acousto-optic modules, RF signal generators, and vacuum systems.
• Proficiency in Python for running physics experiments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, calibrate, and maintain Quantum Computers based on neutral atoms.
• Lead R&D projects for laser systems and quantum processing units.
• Develop, test, and validate models of atomic physics to inform system design.
• Mentor junior team members and supervise interns.
• Develop, test, run, and debug software for experiments.
