Job summary

Ganymede Solutions, in partnership with a leading UK organisation, is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support a major water infrastructure programme in Derby. You will assume commercial responsibility for a portfolio of infrastructure projects from procurement through to final account.

The role requires NEC3/NEC4 contract experience, strong cost management, forecasting and reporting skills, and the ability to manage change events.

Qualifications

• Experience with NEC3/NEC4 contracts.
• Experience on major infrastructure projects.
• Strong cost management, forecasting and reporting skills.
• Experience managing change and compensation events.
• Procurement, valuations and final accounts.
• Water sector experience desirable; transferable infrastructure experience welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Commercial and contractual management of NEC3/NEC4 projects.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and delivery teams to track performance.
• Oversee cost control, forecasting and budgeting processes.
• Assess contractor applications and valuations; manage payments.
• Lead compensation events and project change control.
• Support final accounts and procurement/tender evaluation.
• Identify and manage commercial risks; maintain records and reporting.
• Mentor junior members of the commercial team.
