Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Quantitative Analytics Associate II to join the Point of Sale Fraud team. You will manage fraud risk strategies, perform complex risk analyses, and present findings to managers and executives to reduce losses while balancing customer impact.

You will interpret large data sets, develop and implement fraud rules and policies, identify key risk indicators, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to drive end-to-end initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or related work experience) in a quantitative discipline and 3+ years in fraud/risk/payments.
• Advanced understanding of Python, SAS and SQL.
• Ability to query large amounts of data and transform raw data into actionable information.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience delivering recommendations to management.
• Self-starter with the ability to drive for resolution.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact across departments and with senior executives.

Responsibilities

• Interpret large amounts of complex data to formulate problem statements, conclusions, and opportunities.
• Manage, develop, communicate, and implement optimal fraud strategies to protect the bank and improve customer experience at Point of Sale.
• Identify key risk indicators, develop metrics, enhance reporting, and identify new analytic focus areas.
• Provide subject matter expertise on strategy implementation and risk mitigation initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to address business challenges.
• Own fraud strategy initiatives end-to-end: define the problem, perform analysis, support implementation, and run assessments.
• Identify business opportunities through data mining, ensuring data integrity and communicating findings to senior management.
• Assist in developing new fraud/ spending pattern detection tools and communicate across functions.
