Job summary

CDM Smith Inc. seeks a seasoned Quality Assurance leader to develop and commission quality control systems across projects. You will apply metrics and statistics to diagnose deficiencies, drive improvements, and ensure adherence to the Quality Management Plan.

Travel up to 50% may be required as you guide management and field teams, mentor staff, and coordinate with subcontractors to maintain high quality standards and efficient project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Develops and commissions quality control systems; analyzes inspection and testing procedures; uses metrics to diagnose and correct deficiencies; develops cost of quality concepts; administers management information systems; audits quality systems.
• Collaborates with management during project bid and estimating activities to ensure quality activities, hold points, and resources are sufficient.
• Provides guidance to quality and project teams so that all parties understand and comply with quality requirements.
• Ensures proper documentation maintenance regarding quality activities.
• Reviews and approves quality control plans.
• Ensures subcontractor or vendor quality inspectors are adequately qualified for inspections.
