Job summary

Superior Skilled Trades is partnering with a client seeking a Director of Quality Assurance to build and implement quality programs across complex construction and industrial projects in the US. The role leads development of quality management systems, establishes standards and procedures, and builds teams to ensure quality throughout the project lifecycle, from engineering through turnover.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years in quality leadership on large-scale projects, CQE/CMQ/OE

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 15+ years leading quality programs on complex construction or industrial projects.
• Experience building quality systems from the ground up.
• Experience with quality audit programs, inspection and corrective action.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary quality teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and implement quality management programs and systems.
• Establish quality plans, inspection/test plans, procedures, and records standards.
• Standardize quality processes across multiple projects.
• Oversee QA/QC throughout engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, turnover.
• Develop quality audit programs and CAPA processes.
• Identify risks, investigate root causes, implement preventive actions.
• Track metrics and drive reductions in defects and rework.
• Maintain inspection records, material traceability, testing docs, closeout records.
• Lead, mentor, and develop quality managers, engineers, inspectors, and field staff.
• Coordinate with leadership, engineering, subcontractors, clients, and external consultants.
• Manage third-party quality consultants and external support.
• Support pursuits, preconstruction planning, risk assessments, and client presentations.
