Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. is seeking a Senior Quality Manager to drive QA/QC on industrial and commercial facilities in the Cary/Wilson, NC area. You will lead quality programs, coordinate with discipline subcontractors, and ensure ITPs and Test Packs meet project standards.

The role requires 8+ years in Industrial Construction QA/QC, strong communication, and the ability to read engineering drawings. This is a full-time onsite position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of Industrial Construction QA/QC experience.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering specs, documents, drawings.
  • Proficiency in Office 365 platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate field quality issues to stakeholders.
  • Ensure contractor quality plans and ITPs meet site requirements.
  • Lead contractor quality audits on-site and in fabrication facilities.
  • Ensure ITPs and Test Packs are understood and completed timely.
  • Provide on-site inspection of materials at receipt and before installation.
  • Capture nonconformities in NCRs and drive corrective actions.

We're looking for aSenior Quality Manager in and around the Cary/Wilson, NC areaswho is excited about working on projects thatenable the heart of our clients’ business. Join us and you’llhave the chance to work on projects including state-of-the-artindustrial and commercialfacilities. You’ll be a key member of the Construction

Construction Management Team accountable for:
  • Communicating field quality issues to appropriate stakeholders
  • Working with discipline subcontractors to ensure that the contractor quality plans and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) are in place and in compliance with site specific requirements
  • Leading contractor quality audits on-site and in fabrication facilities
  • Leading the effort to ensure ITPs and inspection and test forms (Test Packs) are understood by the contractor and construction management team, acted on and completed as required in a timely fashion, with all Test Packs completed in compliance with ITPs
  • Providing on-site assistance, monitoring and visually inspecting material at receipt and before installation
  • Ensuring Nonconformities are captured in Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and approved corrective actions are implemented

Here's what you'll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management or other, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • At least 8+ years of experience working in the Industrial Construction Field, with applicable QA/QC experience
  • Ability to read and understand engineering specifications, documents, and drawings.
  • Proficiency in Office 365 platforms such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas
Ideally, you’ll also have
  • Effective oral and written communication
  • Ability to learn quickly, driven to broaden knowledge base
  • Abilitytowork effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
  • Certified technical training is preferred

The base salary range for this position is $123,600.00 to $175,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
