Job summary

Sundt is seeking a Quality Manager to establish and maintain the quality management system for construction projects in the Phoenix area. You will lead QC teams, interface with clients and regulatory bodies, and drive continuous improvement across the project lifecycle.

You will oversee PQP, ITPs, and quality documentation while promoting safety and accountability. This role requires strong leadership and a deep knowledge of construction QA/QC practices.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in quality control with 3+ years in a supervisory or management role.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, QA or related field.
• Deep knowledge of QA/QC processes and construction/industrial codes.
• Proficiency with document control systems and quality software.

Responsibilities

• Assign inspection tasks and manage team performance to ensure timely inspections.
• Develop, implement, and manage the Project Quality Plan (PQP).
• Ensure all work and materials meet specifications and codes.
• Establish project-specific ITPs and quality standards.
• Generate quality reports, trends, and metrics for leadership.
• Lead quality meetings, walkdowns and turnover processes.
• Maintain inspection reports, NCRs, CARs, audits and certifications.
• Promote a culture of quality, safety and continuous improvement.
• Serve as primary contact for client quality reps and regulators.
• Supervise and evaluate Quality Inspectors and Quality Engineers.
