Job summary

Sundt is seeking a Quality Manager to establish and maintain the quality management system for construction projects, leading quality personnel and interfacing with clients and regulatory bodies. You will drive continuous improvement and ensure safety and high standards across all project phases.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in quality control with supervisory experience, a related degree, and strong knowledge of QA/QC processes, codes, and documentation practices.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in quality control with 3+ years in supervision.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, QA, or related field.
• Knowledge of quality systems and codes relevant to construction/industrial projects.
• Proficiency with document control systems, MS Office, and quality software (Procore, ACC, Bluebeam).
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Solid understanding of QA/QC processes, documentation practices, and inspection techniques.

Responsibilities

• Assign inspection tasks and manage team performance for timely inspections and documentation.
• Develop, implement, and manage the Project Quality Plan (PQP) aligned with requirements.
• Ensure all work and materials meet project specs and codes (AWS, AISC, ASME, API, ASTM, ICC, ACI).
• Establish project-specific ITPs, procedures, and quality standards.
• Generate quality performance reports, trend analyses, and metrics for teams.
• Lead or support quality meetings, walkdowns, and turnover processes.
• Maintain comprehensive quality documentation including NCRs, CARs, audits, and certifications.
• Promote a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Serve as primary contact for client quality reps, third-party agencies, regulators.
• Supervise and evaluate Quality Inspectors and Quality Engineers.
