Job summary

Sundt Construction is hiring a Quality Manager to establish and maintain the quality management system for construction projects. This role provides strategic leadership in planning and monitoring quality control, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and codes.

You will lead quality personnel, interface with clients and regulatory bodies, and promote a culture of safety, quality, and efficiency across all project phases.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in quality control, including 3+ years in a supervisory or management capacity.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, quality assurance, or related technical field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• In-depth knowledge of quality systems and codes/standards relevant to construction or industrial projects.
• Proficiency in document control systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and quality software (e.g., Procore, ACC, Bluebeam).
• Proven leadership ability with excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Strong understanding of QA/QC processes, documentation practices, and inspection techniques.

Responsibilities

• Assign inspection tasks and manage team performance to ensure timely execution of inspections and documentation.
• Develop, implement, and manage the Project Quality Plan (PQP) and ensure alignment with company and client requirements.
• Ensure all work, materials, and processes comply with project specifications, industry codes, and jurisdictional requirements.
• Establish project-specific Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), procedures, and quality standards.
• Generate and deliver quality performance reports, trend analysis, and quality metrics to project and executive teams.
• Lead or support quality-related meetings, walkdowns, and turnover processes.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate quality documentation, including inspection reports, NCRs, CARs, audit findings, and certifications.
