Job summary

RTX, through Pratt & Whitney Columbus Engine Center, is seeking a Sr. Quality Manager to lead the quality function for F100 and F117 BX/CX inspection teams. You will supervise, drive root-cause analysis, and implement process improvements to remove waste and improve delivery.

You will mentor teams, promote a strong quality culture, and ensure adherence to QMS standards while coordinating with MECOE operations for rapid problem resolution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 10 years of experience to include leading teams, quality or manufacturing or operations and continuous improvement.
• Experience leading product or process non-conformance investigations (i.e., DIVEs)
• Root Cause and Corrective Action experience
• Experience with AS9100/AS9110 standards
• Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings

Responsibilities

• Reflect leadership behaviors and hold self and others accountable while delivering quality work.
• Coach employees to build a motivated, effective team and address performance issues.
• Lead process improvement opportunities using Lean strategies to enhance quality.
• Implement root-cause corrective actions to ensure quality standards are met.
• Meet and track the operation schedule for quality functions and execute contingency plans.
• Conduct activities to modify, apply, and maintain quality evaluation, control systems and protocols.
• Evaluate technical data and work instructions in support of Engineering and Operations.
• Identify and manage risk using UPPAP core elements to identify risk in product development and propose solutions.
• Conduct investigations, provide analysis and develop corrective action recommendations for nonconformities.
• Develop proactive quality initiative strategies and drive their implementation.
• Promote the Quality culture through adherence to QMS and Quality Cardinal Rules
