Job summary

RTX is seeking a Sr. Quality Manager for the Pratt & Whitney Columbus Engine Center in Columbus, OH. The role focuses on leading MRO/engine-center quality processes, driving continuous improvement and ensuring adherence to QMS standards.

The manager will supervise F100 and F117 inspection teams, implement corrective actions, and promote a strong quality culture with strategic relationships across MECOE operations. Onsite role with broad leadership scope.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 10 years leading teams in quality/manufacturing or operations.
• Advanced Degree with 7 years leading teams in quality/manufacturing or operations.
• Experience leading product or process non-conformance investigations.
• Root Cause and Corrective Action experience.
• Experience with AS9100/AS9110 standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Reflect leadership behaviors; hold self and others accountable and deliver a quality work product.
• Coach employees to develop a motivated, effective team and address performance issues.
• Lead process improvement opportunities using Lean strategies to enhance quality.
• Implement root‑cause corrective actions to maintain quality standards.
• Meet and track the operation schedule for quality functions and plan contingencies.
• Conduct activities to modify, apply, and maintain quality evaluation, control systems and protocols.
• Evaluate technical data and work instructions in support of Engineering and Operations.
• Identify and manage risk using UPPAP core elements to identify risk and propose solutions.
• Conduct investigations, provide analysis and develop corrective-action recommendations for nonconformities.
• Develop proactive quality initiative strategies and drive their implementation.
• Promote the Quality culture through QMS compliance and Quality Cardinal Rules
