Job summary

RTX, a leading aerospace and defense company, is seeking an onsite Quality Inspector in Melbourne, FL. The role involves inspecting SMT and Through Hole products, documenting dimensional and visual results, and ensuring compliance with procedures.

Training on first shift may be required; second shift hours are 3:30 PM–2:00 AM, Monday–Thursday. Candidates should have a HS diploma or GED with at least 2 years of relevant experience; familiarity with precision measuring equipment and basic shop

Qualifications

HS diploma or GED (US) or equivalent, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Familiarity with inspection procedures and quality requirements is preferred.
Basic shop math and computer skills are beneficial.

Responsibilities

Inspects SMT and Through Hole products in the Process Center.
Raises notifications of non-conformance and quarantines or routes for disposition.
Performs dimensional and visual inspection using applicable procedures and data.
Uses fixed or variable measuring instruments to check dimensions and record results.
Performs pass/fail calculations based on tolerances and documents findings.
Maintains inspection stamp and supports continuous improvement efforts.
Coordinates training and adapts to shift requirements including overtime.
