Job summary

RTX in Melbourne, FL seeks an Electronics Technician to follow blueprints, perform functional testing, and document results for aerospace-grade equipment. The role requires U.S. citizenship and a background in basic component troubleshooting, with hands-on use of DMMs, oscilloscopes, and signal generators.

The position is onsite with FAA safety compliance, standard 3:00 PM–12:30 AM hours, and a strong emphasis on quality control and teamwork across production and maintenance groups.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• U.S. Citizenship is required to access information under this program/contract.
• 1+ year experience in basic component level troubleshooting.
• AS in Electronics Technology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows blueprints, guidelines, and diagrams to meet product specifications and tolerances.
• Performs functional testing per established procedures.
• Monitors tests and records data, services test equipment as required.
• Documents acceptance or failure results.
• Uses hand tools, electronic/test equipment and measuring devices correctly.
• Loads and unloads electronic equipment in test beds.
• Supports quality systems and continuous improvement efforts (ACE).
• Meets internal and external customer deadlines as determined by team.
• Learns required skills/certifications and complies with safety programs.
• Trains others for technical tasks when needed.
• Interfaces with other groups to resolve business issues and participate in audits.
