Job summary

Granite State Manufacturing seeks a dedicated Inspector to interpret blueprints, apply GD&T, and verify machined and welded parts for conformance. You will use CMMs, height gages, and precision tools to measure dimensions, assess surface finish, and identify defects in a high-precision environment.

Responsibilities include documenting results, supporting quality projects, and ensuring adherence to specifications while collaborating with Manufacturing and Engineering to resolve issues in real

Qualifications

• Two-year certification from college or technical school; or 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to interpret and apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Ability to operate, set up, and program CMMs when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Interprets and applies blueprints to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Verifies dimensions using verniers, micrometers, CMMs, height gages, and other tools.
• Measures surface finish and inspects first run parts and assemblies.
• Tests units for fit and mechanical functioning; checks for defects.
• Documents nonconforming conditions and writes inspection reports.
• Operates Mitutoyo CMMs and FARO Arm; supports quality projects.
