Granite State Manufacturing is a leading contract manufacturer of large, complex, precision machined and welded components, supporting the US Navy in building submarines. It seeks a quality inspector to read work instructions and blueprints, determine dimensions and tolerances, and verify conformance through measurement.

You will perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections, using verniers, calipers, micrometers, and height stands, contributing to a quality-first culture in a safe

Qualifications

• Reads blueprints to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Basic knowledge of geometric tolerances (GD&T).
• Proficient with measuring equipment (verniers, calipers, micrometers).
• Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Must qualify as a U.S. Person for export-control compliance.

Responsibilities

• Supports first piece, in-process, and final inspections.
• Performs receiving inspection on components.
• Verifies dimensions using measuring equipment.
• Rejects defective parts and documents defects.
• Maintains quality management system compliance.
• Keeps work area safe and organized.
• Collaborates with teams to meet quality objectives.
