Job summary

Sargent Aerospace & Defense, a department within RBC Bearings, seeks an Inspector III to ensure quality conformance across complex machined parts and assemblies. You will develop inspection plans, perform in-process and final inspections, and train junior inspectors in a fast-paced, ISO9001/AS9100 environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with demonstrated mechanical inspection background.
• Experience in ISO9001/AS9100 manufacturing environments.
• Advanced GD&T understanding.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Proficient with Excel, Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and report on materials, processes and products to ensure conformance with quality standards.
• Develop inspection plans; mentor and train other inspectors.
• Perform in-process and final inspections on complex machined parts and assemblies.
• Perform receiving inspection on incoming product.
• Operate and interpret data from CMMs and vision systems, including limited programming.
• Trains and mentors less experienced inspectors.
