Job summary

SR Machining Inc. is seeking a senior Quality Control Inspector II to verify product quality through advanced inspection methods and CMM programming. You will perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections on machined and molded components for aerospace applications.

Strong interpretation of engineering drawings and GD&T per ANSI Y14.5 is essential, as is familiarity with AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality systems. A proactive approach to continuous improvement is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years of mechanical inspection experience in precision machining or molding environment.
• Experience in aerospace or engineered industrial manufacturing environments preferred.
• Proficient with GD&T per ANSI Y14.5, including tolerance interpretation and calculations.
• Hands-on experience operating and programming CMMs; CMM Manager software preferred.
• Familiarity with AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality management systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections on machined and molded parts using manual and digital tools.
• Program and operate CMMs for part verification.
• Verify conformance to engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
• Conduct receiving, in-process, and final inspections per AS9100 and ISO procedures.
• Perform and document FAIs per internal and customer requirements.
• Identify non-conformances and participate in root cause and corrective action processes.
• Maintain calibration records and ensure inspection equipment is monitored and calibrated.
• Assist in maintaining the quality management system and support audits and reviews.
• Mentor junior inspectors and support staff as needed.
