Job summary

RBC Bearings Incorporated is seeking an Inspector II to join our Sargent legacy operation in a demanding manufacturing environment. You will inspect materials and products, perform in-process and final inspections, and mentor junior staff to uphold our quality standards.

The role requires reading complex drawings, applying precision measurement tools, and ensuring compliance with ISO9001/AS9100. A steady, team-oriented mindset and ITAR/EAR awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in an ISO9001/AS9100 manufacturing environment.
• 4+ years in manufacturing with mechanical inspection background.
• Basic measurement skills with calipers, micrometers, height gages and bore gages.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Basic math skills and good reading comprehension.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Ability to make decisions, communicate effectively and work with others.
• Team player, self-starter, problem solver and adaptable.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and report on materials, processes and products to ensure conformance.
• Perform in-process and final inspections for machine shop products.
• Perform receiving inspection on incoming product.
• Use calipers, micrometers, height and bore gages and optical comparators.
• Interpret drawings, certifications and specifications.
• Create and complete first articles to AS9102.
• Train and mentor less experienced inspectors.
• Adhere to ITAR/EAR requirements as applicable.
