Job summary

RBC Bearings Incorporated is seeking an Inspector III to inspect materials, processes, and products and develop inspection plans. This role includes mentoring other inspectors and performing first article inspections to AS9102.

Qualified candidates have 6+ years in manufacturing with GD&T, ISO9001/AS9100 experience, and proficiency with CMMs, optical comparators, and vision systems. Sign-on bonus offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in an ISO9001/AS9100 manufacturing environment.
• At least 6 years in manufacturing with demonstrated mechanical inspection background.
• 3+ years operating CMMs.
• Advanced GD&T understanding.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Basic math skills and good reading comprehension.
• Basic computer skills (MS Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Decision-making, communication, and teamwork.
• Self-starter, problem solver and adaptable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety is the foundation of daily work through vigilance and accountability.
• Promote Safety to all team members, Customers and Suppliers.
• Perform, in-process and final inspections on complex machined parts and detailed final assemblies.
• Perform receiving inspection on incoming product.
• Proficient in dimensional inspection using all inspection tools including optical comparators.
• Proficient in the use of CMMs and Vision Systems including limited programming.
• Interpret drawings, certifications and military/industry specifications; apply GD&T.
• Create and complete first articles to AS9102.
• Trains and mentors less experienced inspectors.
• Performs Supplier Source Inspection as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
