Job summary

RBC Bearings Incorporated, a leading manufacturer of precision bearings and aerospace components, seeks an Inspector II to ensure conformance with quality standards. The role includes in-process and final inspections, receiving inspection, and first article creation per AS9102.

Candidates should have 4+ years of manufacturing inspection experience, GD&T knowledge, and proficiency with calipers, micrometers, and related tools. ITAR/EAR compliance and aerospace context emphasized.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in an ISO9001/AS9100 manufacturing environment.
• 4+ years in a manufacturing environment with mechanical inspection background.
• Basic measurement skills with calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges and optical comparators.
• Basic GD&T understanding.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Must possess basic math, reading comprehension and computer skills.
• Proficient with Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Effective communication and teamwork.
• Self-starter and adaptable.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections for machine shop and production products.
• Perform receiving inspection on incoming product.
• Use calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges and optical comparators for measurements.
• Interpret drawings, certifications, and military/industry specifications.
• Create and complete first articles to AS9102.
• Train and mentor less experienced inspectors.
