Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Jamestown, ND is seeking a Quality Inspector to verify incoming, in-process, and finished aerospace parts against engineering drawings and quality specs. The role emphasizes precise measurement, documentation, and adherence to GD&T standards.

You will load and operate CMMs, perform FAIs and FAA conformity inspections, report status to stakeholders, and assist in root-cause analysis while prioritizing tasks to maintain efficiency onsite.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of relevant experience in aerospace manufacturing.
• Ability to work semi-independently.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Knowledge of GD&T and basic to intermediate math.
• Knowledge of FAA regulations and aerospace standards.
• Familiarity with Teamcenter, SAP, Discus, NetInspect or Minitab.

Responsibilities

• Inspect products for conformance to engineering requirements and quality specifications.
• Load, operate, and unload Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) for inspection of product.
• Report product status to internal and external customers.
• Perform First Article Inspections (FAIs) and FAA Conformity inspections.
• Prioritize tasks to ensure area efficiency.
• Raise non-conformance notices and assist root cause analysis.
