Job summary

Storable Marine is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to ensure quality across our marina software platform. You will lead hands-on testing, automation, API and data validation, and leverage AI-assisted tools to improve coverage and speed.

You’ll partner with product, software engineers, and architects to deliver reliable, customer-focused software, clarifying requirements, and shaping testable stories while mentoring junior engineers and advocating for quality throughout the SDLC.

Qualifications

• 5+ years QA or Quality Engineering experience.
• Strong test strategy, exploratory testing, and release readiness.
• Experience building automated tests with at least one framework.
• Experience validating APIs, data, and key workflows.
• SQL usage to investigate data issues and validate behavior.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment validation.
• Practical use of AI-assisted tools in QA workflows.

Responsibilities

• Deliver incremental product quality within an Agile SDLC.
• Clarify requirements and shape testable user stories with the team.
• Own test strategy across manual, automated, API, and data validation.
• Develop and maintain API automation for service behavior and data contracts.
• Query data using SQL to troubleshoot and validate outcomes.
• Collaborate with product, design, support, and engineers to validate customer needs.
• Mentor junior engineers in QA practices and risk-based testing.
• Advocate for quality early in the SDLC.
• Utilize AI-assisted tooling to improve planning, debugging, and docs.
• Participate in stand-ups, retros, and design reviews.
• Continuously evaluate tools and workflows for productivity.
