Job summary

Storable is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to ensure quality, reliability, and usability of our Marine software platform. You will blend manual and automated testing, API validation, database checks, and AI-assisted approaches to improve speed, coverage, and outcomes.

You will work in an Agile SDLC, own test strategy, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with product, design, and support to ship reliable software.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Quality Assurance/Engineering with hands-on testing.
• Experience building/maintaining automated tests with modern frameworks.
• Experience validating APIs, data, and critical workflows.
• Ability to use SQL for data investigation and validation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment validation.
• Practical use of AI-assisted tools in QA workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own and refine test strategy across manual, automated, API, and data validation.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to define testable user stories.
• Develop and maintain automated tests with Cypress, Selenium, or similar.
• Build API automation validating service behavior and data contracts.
• Query and troubleshoot data using SQL for defects and validation.
• Mentor junior engineers and improve testing maturity across the team.
• Promote quality early in the SDLC and improve observability and coverage.
