Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks a Senior Quality Engineer to lead quality excellence across manufacturing, suppliers, and customer-facing activities. You will analyze quality performance data, drive improvements, and serve as a bridge among customers, suppliers, manufacturing, and field teams to enhance overall quality and satisfaction.

The role requires strong communication, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to travel up to 15% to support visits and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline required.
• 7+ years quality engineering in manufacturing, preferably low-volume/high-mix.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and auditing principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality improvement initiatives focused on defect reduction and COPQ.
• Analyze quality and field performance data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Facilitate root-cause investigations using structured problem solving (8D, 9S, A3, DMAIC).
• Lead APQP activities, PFMEA, control plans, and risk mitigation for products.
• Partner with operations, engineering, supply chain, and field teams to implement corrective actions.
• Conduct customer investigations, site visits, and field assessments.
