Job summary

MacLean-Fogg is hiring a Senior Quality Engineer at our Mooresville, NC manufacturing facility. You will establish and continuously improve quality standards, lead cross-functional problem solving, and strengthen product and process quality.

You will mentor junior engineers and support compliance with internal and external quality requirements. This role is on-site with standard business hours and a salary of $85,000–$110,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 4-6 years of experience or equivalent work experience.
• In-depth knowledge of quality engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Proficiency in root cause analysis, failure analysis, and quality improvement techniques such as Lean and Six Sigma.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to communicate across levels.
• Proven leadership with mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Establish, maintain, and improve quality standards for products and processes.
• Lead cross-functional teams to identify quality risks and mitigation strategies.
• Lead investigations using 8D, Fishbone, and FMEA to identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Audit production processes, raw materials, suppliers for ISO 9001 and other standards.
• Support ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 compliance and assist audits.
• Maintain quality documentation: audit reports, NCRs, CAPAs.
• Participate in APQP and PPAP for new launches and changes.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers and promote data-driven problem solving.
