Job summary

MacLean-Fogg’s OMCO unit in Huntsville, AL is hiring a Quality Engineer to establish and maintain quality standards, drive issue resolution, and support PPAP activities across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain. The role focuses on improving quality throughout the product lifecycle while partnering with cross-functional teams.

The candidate will work on ISO 9001 compliance, QA audits, and continuous improvement initiatives, and will lead the quality tech team on a full-time, on-site

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• 2–4 years of experience required
• Understanding of quality principles and inspection techniques
• Experience with GD&T and blueprint reading
• Knowledge of FMEA and SPC
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Clear written and verbal communication
• Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain quality standards for products, processes, and systems.
• Partner with design, management, production, and supply chain to identify quality risks and meet requirements.
• Audit production processes, materials, and suppliers; document findings and recommend corrective actions.
• Investigate defects via root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Support ISO 9001 compliance and participate in quality audits.
• Maintain NCRs, root cause analyses, corrective actions, PPAP approvals, and change records.
• Lead continuous improvement, Lean, and Six Sigma initiatives.
• Develop and maintain APQP artifacts and manage production launches and changes.
• Lead and manage the quality tech team.
