Job summary

Masco Support Services in Mooresville, NC is seeking a Quality Specialist to ensure product quality and compliance across the facility. You will read BOMs, perform QA audits, track metrics, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Ideal candidates have a background in quality assurance with 2+ years of experience, strong PC skills, and the ability to handle physical tasks and reports. This full-time role offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in quality assurance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret finished product Bills of Materials.
• Perform audits related to product recertification, inspection procedures, and QA compliance documentation.
• Record inspection results accurately and legibly.
• Perform math calculations using decimals and fractions.
• Compile and distribute weekly and monthly reports on quality metrics.
• Communicate with co-workers and leadership about inspections and results.
• Act as subject matter expert for recertification/returns products to provide quality support.
• Update and maintain product compliance alerts in WMS database.
• Train others on QA standards for recertification/returns products.
• Support continuous improvement activities.
• Perform root cause analysis and apply problem solving methods.
• Facilitate kaizens and other continuous improvement events.
• Ensure achievement and sustainment of continuous improvement efforts.
• Make hazard observations and report them.
