Job summary

3M is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join our Maplewood, MN team. The role focuses on driving quality tools in new product introductions, ensuring robust test methods, and defining specifications to support manufacturing processes.

The ideal candidate will apply statistical techniques, lead continuous improvement, review customer complaints, and support product evolution through change management. On-site role with travel up to 25% and relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start).
• Minimum 3 years experience in a quality or manufacturing setting in a private, public, government or military environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive quality tools in NPI to accelerate projects and ensure robust test methods.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF16949 or other external regulations and customer requirements.
• Apply statistical techniques to drive data-driven decisions as a SME in statistics.
• Promote continuous improvement and defect reduction through CAPA, kaizen, 8D, FMEA and related methods.
• Review customer product complaints for timely feedback and resolution.
• Support product evolution and improvement through change management (CMP).
