Job summary

3M is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer in Maplewood, MN for on-site work with four days on-site and up to partial remote collaboration from AZ. You will lead quality activities across NPI, drive process capability, and ensure regulatory and customer requirements are met.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree or higher and at least 3 years in quality/manufacturing; advanced degrees and broader ISO/QA expertise are a plus. Travel may be required up to 25% and relocation may be authorized.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start).
• Minimum 3 years experience in a quality or manufacturing setting in a private, public, government or military environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive quality tools in NPI to accelerate projects while mitigating risk by ensuring consumer needs are met, test methods are robust, specifications are well defined, and manufacturing processes are capable.
• Assure compliance with external regulations, customer requirements, internal requirements, and industry standards (ISO 9001, IATF16949 or other).
• Analyze information using statistical techniques to drive data driven decisions by being a SME in statistical techniques.
• Promote continuous improvement and defect reduction through root cause investigation, CAPA, kaizen, 8D, FMEA, MSA, PPU, DOE, and Control Plans.
• Review customer product complaints for timely customer feedback and resolution.
• Supporting existing product evolution and improvement through change management (CMP).
