Job summary

MKS Instruments is seeking a Sr Quality Engineer in Colorado. You will partner with Operations, Engineering and internal teams to support business and customer needs and drive a world-class quality culture. You will report to the Sr.

Quality Manager and travel up to 5%. The role emphasizes data collection, SPC, analysis, leadership, and GD&T interpretation to identify and solve quality problems. A Bachelor's in engineering is required; a Master's is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of job-related work experience.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering required; Master's degree preferred.
• Strong capability in data collection and analysis, SPC and using statistical tools to identify trends and solve quality problems.
• Leadership skills with ability to collaborate with diverse teams and gain consensus.
• Able to interpret mechanical drawings, understanding GD&T and mechanical measuring data.

Responsibilities

• Developing quality data collection plans and inspection/process documentation; performing analysis and identifying trends in inspection data; using statistical analysis tools to identify issues and draw conclusions.
• Leading cross-functional problem solving and quality improvement teams.
• Preparing customer first article packages; understanding customer specifications/requirements and translating them into internal PORs; training personnel in processes and procedures.
• Leading audits to ensure product and process conformity; documenting results and following action plans through to completion.
• Reviewing internal and customer data and preparing reports.
• Travel Requirements: Up to 5% travel is required.
