Job summary

Copeland in Sidney, OH, is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to lead quality and process improvements for HVACR compressors and related subsystems. This hybrid role partners with cross-functional teams, suppliers and customers to ensure product performance and reliability.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's in engineering, ASQ Green Belt, 5–7 years in high-volume manufacturing, and 3+ years in quality engineering, with GD&T proficiency and travel willingness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Controls, or Electrical Engineering.
• ASQ Green Belt certification.
• 5–7 years in high-volume manufacturing environments.
• Minimum 3 years of Quality Engineering experience.
• Proficiency in GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Minitab or similar statistical software, ERP and PLM systems.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
• Legal Authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality and process improvement initiatives on New Product Development programs.
• Collaborate with plant quality teams to resolve manufacturing and supplier quality issues.
• Develop and implement quality plans and control strategies.
• Validate prototype and production processes, methods, gauges, and instrumentation.
• Review and approve PPAP documentation.
• Facilitate structured problem-solving using Copeland methodologies.
• Work with Advanced Manufacturing and Plant Quality on PFMEAs, CPs and VSMs.
• Coordinate with customers to address product and process concerns.
