Job summary

Copeland in Sidney, OH is seeking an Experienced Project Engineer to lead development and commercialization of next-generation HVAC compressor technologies. You will provide technical leadership across the full product development lifecycle, partnering with engineering, manufacturing, and global teams to drive efficiency, reliability and manufacturability.

You will evaluate design options, perform testing and data analysis, and support production readiness while applying Lean principles and risk

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering efforts supporting development of advanced HVAC compressor platforms.
• Plan, execute, and interpret development and validation testing.
• Evaluate product performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost tradeoffs.
• Analyze engineering data and provide technical recommendations to support product decisions.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to support prototype and production builds.
• Provide technical guidance across cross-functional product development teams.
• Develop and improve engineering analysis tools and methodologies.
• Present technical findings, recommendations, and project updates to stakeholders.
• Apply Lean principles and risk mitigation strategies throughout the product development process.
• Support product commercialization and production readiness activities.
