Job summary

Copeland in Sidney, OH is seeking a Senior/Lead Residential HVAC System & Application Engineer to align residential compression design with practical system operation. You will work with engineering teams to ensure world‑class performance and reliability in both normal and abnormal operation, supporting development and qualification activities.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) with 10+ years in HVAC design and 5+ years in North American residential split

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in HVAC system design.
• 5+ years in North American residential ducted split system design.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the subject matter expert for residential HVAC system knowledge.
• Collaborate with Product Development, R&D, and engineering teams to align designs with application needs.
• Perform system testing, simulations, and performance evaluations.
• Create technical documentation and training materials for internal teams and partners.
