Job summary

Commercial Vehicle Group, Inc (CVG) seeks a Corporate Quality Engineer to lead root cause investigations, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with customer and regulatory quality standards across manufacturing sites.

The role focuses on new product launches, supplier quality, and customer-quality concerns, while mentoring junior staff and supporting Lean/Six Sigma initiatives to reduce COPQ and scrap.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering required; equivalent experience considered.
• 5–7 years of quality engineering in manufacturing, automotive preferred.
• Proven IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 quality systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions (8D, 5-Why).
• Maintain QMS per IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 standards.
• Own control plans, PFMEAs, and process flow diagrams; ensure audit readiness.
• Lead audits, supplier quality, APQP/PPAP, and customer-facing quality.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians; train on quality tools.
