Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Quality Engineer to support internal/external customers on Escapes, QMS procedures, and regulatory compliance. You will ensure processes meet quality standards and lead RCCA activities for nonconforming material.

You will participate in audits, PPAP/APQP activities, and collaborate with Engineering and Operations on PFMEA and Control Plans. Mentoring peers and communicating with leadership will be key aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• University degree or advanced degree with relevant experience.
• U.S. citizenship is required to access program information.
• Experience with Lean, ACE or Six Sigma.
• Experience in Quality/Manufacturing/Design Engineering roles.
• Knowledge of APQP and PPAP core elements.
• Experience in aerospace or ISO9001/AS9100 certified manufacturing.
• Structured RCCA approaches (DIVE, 8D, fault tree).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to internal and external customers as it relates to Escapes, QMS Procedures, Regulations and Compliance.
• Ensure manufacturing processes adhere to quality standards & customer requirements.
• Provide timely disposition, correction, and closure of nonconforming material as MRB member.
• Lead RCCA for quality issues.
• Lead or participate in internal and external quality system audits.
• Lead or participate in PPAP activities.
• Engage with Engineering and Operations in PFMEA, Process Flow Diagrams, Control Plans reviews.
• Mentor other quality engineers on inspection plans.
• Communicate to upper management/site leadership and customers.
• Manage producibility projects through data analytics.
