Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Quality Engineer to support cutting-edge space products in Goleta, CA. The role focuses on QA plans, CAPA, root-cause analysis, and AS9100 compliance, with significant collaboration across a manufacturing-oriented team.

The candidate should have a bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field and 5+ years in Quality Engineering, preferably in space/aerospace, with CQE preferred. Excellent problem-solving and teamwork are essential.

  • Proven experience with AS9100.
  • Extensive experience with CAPA and non-conformances.
  • Root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with program managers, engineers, and manufacturing teams to develop and implement quality assurance plans and procedures.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Conducting internal audits and participating in external audits to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Identifying non-conformances and leading the corrective and preventive action (CAPA) process.
  • Utilizing your extensive experience in root cause analysis to identify areas for improvement and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Maintaining our AS9100 quality management system.
  • Providing quality engineering support to the manufacturing process, including problem-solving and process improvements.
  • Training and mentoring junior quality engineers and other team members on quality assurance processes and tools.
