Job summary

Thalle Construction Co., Inc. in South Bay, FL, is seeking a Quality Control Manager to support the operations team. The QCM will report to the Project Manager and oversee the construction quality program with authority over QC matters.

Ideal candidates have a graduate engineering or construction management degree, 10+ years in similar projects, and proven leadership of QC staff. Experience with the Bureau of Reclamation and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate engineer or construction management grad with 10+ years of similar project experience.
• Prior experience working with the Bureau of Reclamation.
• Verifiable experience as a Construction Quality Control Manager.
• Experience leading and managing a quality control staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide Quality Control Systems Management and oversight.
• Extensive document control and experience working with the Bureau of Reclamation.
• Onsite at all times during construction and is employed by the prime contractor.
• Responsible for overall management of the Construction Quality Control Program with the authority to act in all quality control matters for the contractor.
• Maintain all documents (letters, material submittals, shop drawing submittals, Schedules, project documentation) and records at the site, except as otherwise acceptable to the Contracting Officer.
• Review and approve all construction submittals.
• Conduct a minimum of three phases (Preparatory, Initial and Follow up) of control for each definable feature of the construction work.
• Overall responsibility and oversight for quality aspects of the project, including management of all quality control personnel and reporting as required.
