Thalle Construction Co., Inc. is seeking a Quality Control Manager for a US Army Corps of Engineers mega-project, overseeing a mass concrete build with an on-site lab and batch plant.

The role requires senior QC leadership across inspectors, testing, and geologists, with adherence to USACE QA expectations. The candidate should have 15+ years of construction experience on large-scale works, mass concrete expertise, and the ability to obtain CQM certification within 90 days.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of construction experience on projects of similar scale.
• Mass concrete production/placement experience essential for USACE evaluation.
• Ability to obtain CQM for Contractors certification within 90 days.
• PE license preferred and strong leadership of QC staff.
• Experience as an approved USACE Construction Quality Control Manager on USACE projects is desirable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficient with RMS.

Responsibilities

• Provide Quality Control Systems Management for a USACE Mega-Project (new Lock and Dam).
• Serve as Quality Control Manager or approved Alternate QCM full-time during construction.
• Manage QC staff including inspectors, subcontractor testing, on-site lab ops, geologist, admin.
• Maintain all site records and submittals; review and transmittal of submittals.
• Conduct Preparatory, Initial and Follow-up QC phases for each definable feature.
• Coordinate QC activities with production, management and safety goals.
• Oversee on-site batch plant, conveyor transport, placing equipment, and mass concrete operations.
• Lead daily QC staff meetings and weekly coordination with government QA team.
