Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking a Quality Control Manager to ensure client and company quality standards are met across projects. You will maintain QA processes, test materials, and analyze results, while supervising tests, calibrating equipment, and reporting findings.

You will interpret project specifications to ensure compliance with documents, regulations, and health and safety guidelines, and collaborate with project management to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of quality control experience required.
• Knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes and standards.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and quality control standards.
• Ability to interpret instructions written, spoken, or diagrammed.
• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Execute comprehensive inspections to align with project plans and standards.
• Maintain safety protocols and a clean, secure working environment.
• Lead quality corrective actions to meet project requirements.
• Prepare and deliver project reports to managers and clients.
• Record and document test results per established protocols.
• Coordinate calibrations and ensure measuring equipment functions properly.
