Job summary

Tutor Perini Corporation is seeking a Quality Control Engineer in Honolulu to lead QC inspections and testing across concrete, piling, rebar, and related disciplines. You will work under the Project Manager to ensure compliance with contract specifications on major civil infrastructure projects.

The role requires a civil engineering background and 5+ years in QC/inspection within design-build or heavy civil environments, with proficiency in MS Office and relevant certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or similar is required.
• 5+ years of experience in support of design-build or heavy civil construction testing, inspection, supervision or management in large public works projects.
• 5+ years of quality control/inspection experience in disciplines such as concrete, piling, rebar, structural, earthwork, electrical, etc.
• Strong understanding of contract specifications as they apply to quality control/assurance.
• Experience with Microsoft Office is preferred.
• ACI or other related certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect to contract specifications for assigned discipline.
• Develop working knowledge of the QC program, standards and procedures.
• Perform inspections and witness tests to determine acceptability of work.
• Maintain inspection and other related documentation accurately.
• Prepare and implement QC procedures and inspection instructions.
• Coordinate QC inspection schedules with other departments.
