Job summary

Tutor Perini Corporation in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Quality Control Engineer to join our team. You will perform or assist in quality control engineering and inspection across civil, structural, mechanical, piping, welding, NDE and/or electrical disciplines, reporting to the Quality Control Manager.

Responsibilities include inspecting against contract specifications, maintaining QC documentation, and coordinating inspection schedules with other departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum five years of experience in the field or related area, preferred.
• Experience in civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing disciplines preferred.
• Understanding of contract specifications as they apply to QA/QC, submittals, testing procedures, and inspection of electrical components.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites.

Responsibilities

• Inspect to contract specifications the quality of construction, submittals, testing procedures, etc.
• Develop understanding/working knowledge of QC program, standards, procedures, codes.
• Perform inspections and witness tests to determine acceptability of work.
• Maintain inspection records and related documents; ensure accuracy of all documents.
• Assist in preparing/implementing QC procedures and inspection instructions and test equipment.
• Coordinate QC inspection schedules with other departments.
• Participate in internal/external QC audits.
• Review purchase documents to ensure QC compliance.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.
