Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager II to run the QC program on large, multi-phase projects, including heavy civil, industrial, or USACE/NAVFAC work. You’ll write the project quality control plan, chair phase meetings, and own every test result and NCR.

You will supervise QC inspectors, coordinate testing across subcontractors, and drive corrective actions. This role requires on-site presence and travel where needed.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection, including 2+ years supervising inspectors.
• USACE CQM-C certificate plus ICC special inspector or NICET Level III certification.
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs.
• Writes clearly and holds the line in a room of superintendents and owner representatives.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work.
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians.
• Assign daily coverage and review their reports.
• Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings.
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
